Hello, I’m Catherine Jaimes and I specialize in working with adults of all ages and adolescents (13+) who are navigating mood disorders, trauma, low self-esteem, communication challenges, and anger management. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, and solution-focused techniques, I tailor each session to meet my clients’ unique needs and goals.
I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University and am committed to creating a supportive, empowering space for growth and healing.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 5 years of experience, I’m dedicated to supporting individuals on their journey toward emotional and mental well-being. With a compassionate, non-judgmental approach, I work with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship issues.
How can I help you?
My goal is to create a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, develop healthier coping strategies, and build a more balanced and fulfilling life. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic process, utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and a solution-focused approach.
My philosophy on mental health
My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and collaboration, helping clients build resilience, gain self-awareness, and develop practical tools to navigate life’s complexities. I believe in the power of a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences without fear of criticism.
How Do I Practice Self-Compassion:
I practice self-compassion by treating myself with the same kindness, patience, and understanding that I offer to others. I acknowledge that I, too, am human, and that it’s okay to make mistakes, face challenges, and experience difficult emotions. Rather than criticizing myself, I try to approach my own struggles with gentleness, humor, and curiosity. Through mindfulness, self-reflection, and a commitment to self-acceptance, I strive to nurture my mental, emotional, and physical well-being, understanding that I deserve the same love and support that I encourage others to offer themselves.
